Hey everybody and welcome to stepcorrect.wordpress.com.
Afters spending the greater part of last year talking with many of you about our little side project, we are proud to announce the launch of our official webseries blog (if we have yet to talk or meet with you regarding the show, don’t fret, we’ve got plenty of time to talk you ear off. Thus, the blog).
Just to bring you all up to speed: For the greater part of last year, my writing partner, Adam, and I have been slowly (but steadily) working on the script for a little webseries we call Step Correct. The show’s premise spoofs the America’s Best Dance Crew phenomenon and follows the well-intentioned adventures of a Hollywood-based crew’s audition process.
Since we are running this dog and pony show on a modest budget (read: non-existant), we’re going straight up guerilla-style with our promotional campaign. That’s right, we want you, our audience, to play a vital role in our series.
In the months leading up to our official webseries launch, you will have the opportunity to interact with our characters on our Youtube our Twitter pages. Feel free to drop us comments, suggestions, hate mail, etc. etc. Remember, these “characters” have a fairly thick skin and are looking to create some lively discussion. Most of all, it’s all in good fun. We’re huge fans of the show, but we’re also not above calling out a few things that merit mockery.
And although we are still a good means away from shooting the series itself, Adam and I have been hard at work on some promotional materials (we can’t wait to show you guys!). Within the past month, we’ve also shot “in-character” reviews of So You Think You Can Dance and crashed the real-life America’s Best Dance Crew auditions.
In the meantime, we hope you’ll follow us here on our humble little blog and indulge our filmmaking quirks (and if you want to tell a few hundred people about the show, we certainly wouldn’t mind that at all).
We thank you for your time and can’t wait to see you back here on our blog.
Here’s to the start of a beautiful co-dependent, but open-ended relationship.
